Thermoguard Flame Retardant Topcoat

What it does
A tough, oil based decorative paint that helps slow flame spread. It is the finishing coat that completes Thermoguard fire upgrade systems. Choose from 4,000+ colours.

Where to use it
Use as the decorative topcoat over the relevant Thermoguard basecoat or system on walls and ceilings in corridors, stairwells, lobbies and other shared spaces.

  • Wide colour choice, with optional metallic eggshell finishes such as steel and gunmetal.

  • Durable, wipeable oil based finish.

Finishes and colours

  • Eggshell including metallic steel and gunmetal.

  • Deep Base colours are currently unavailable in this product.

  • Colours are supplied in the nearest tin size. Actual fill may vary by up to 10% depending on colour.

How to use

  1. Confirm the correct Thermoguard system for your substrate and required rating.

  2. Apply the specified basecoat or basecoats first.

  3. Finish with this Decorative Flame Retardant Paint in your chosen colour.

  • BS 476 Part 7 Class 1 limits surface spread of flame.

  • BS 476 Part 6 controls overall fire propagation.

  • Together these support Class 0 designation under UK Building Regulations when used as part of the tested system and applied as specified.
