Thermoguard Flame Retardant Topcoat
Thermoguard Flame Retardant Topcoat assists in the control of fire hazards caused by combustible materials such as wood and paint in buildings by releasing a flame extinguishing gas upon contact with fire.
Thermoguard Flame Retardant Topcoat is suitable for use direct as a maintenance coat to bare or sound previously painted non-combustible substrates where the upgrading properties of a Thermoguard basecoats are not required.

What it does
A tough, oil based decorative paint that helps slow flame spread. It is the finishing coat that completes Thermoguard fire upgrade systems. Choose from 4,000+ colours.
Where to use it
Use as the decorative topcoat over the relevant Thermoguard basecoat or system on walls and ceilings in corridors, stairwells, lobbies and other shared spaces.

Durable, wipeable oil based finish.

Deep Base colours are currently unavailable in this product.
Colours are supplied in the nearest tin size. Actual fill may vary by up to 10% depending on colour.
How to use
Confirm the correct Thermoguard system for your substrate and required rating.
Apply the specified basecoat or basecoats first.
Finish with this Decorative Flame Retardant Paint in your chosen colour.
Proof, in plain words
BS 476 Part 7 Class 1 limits surface spread of flame.
BS 476 Part 6 controls overall fire propagation.
Together these support Class 0 designation under UK Building Regulations when used as part of the tested system and applied as specified.
